Asimina Gkioni, DDS, MSc Endo

Asimina Gkioni was born and raised in Piraeus, Athens. After she graduated from Athens Dental School (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens), she worked in a well known dental practice specialised in Endodontics where she acquired her special interest for Endodontology.
In 2012 she moved to the United Kingdom, where she worked for the next six years as a general dentist in two large dental practices in Wales. There she offered dental services to thousands of patients gaining great experience in all dental fields focusing on the patient's health, esthetics and comfort. In 2016 she completed her postgraduate studies and got her Master's Degree in Endodontology from the University of Central Lancashire with honours on her dissertation.
During the next years, Mrs Gkioni accepted endodontic referrals from colleagues in the area for the completion of difficult and demanding endodontic cases.
Later, she returned to Greece and, today, she owns SMILES PLACE Dental Clinic in Cholargos, Athens, with her husband Dimitrios Kotsiris. There, she accepts endodontic cases and her priority is to treat dental pain and save teeth from extraction. She completes difficult and demanding endodontic cases (root canal treatments), treats dental trauma cases and works on the diagnosis of orofacial pain.
She has attended numerus postgraduate courses and dental conferences (continuous professional development - CPDs) and is a member of Dental Association of Athens, British Endodontic Society and European Society of Endodontology.
